You are giving away some cool a** prizes! Wish we could've afforded to give out almost $100.00 in prizes!!! The author(s) that inspire me are Blake Nelson, Joyce Carol Oates and Laurie Halse Anderson. They all write in such simple, but beautiful ways--which is what I aspire to do. And JCO writes both adult and YA!!
January 31, 2011 at 11:02 AMOn another note, I am entering the Pay it Forward contest. The blog post is scheduled and ready for tomorrow so make sure you stop on by :) BTW-cupcakes in a jar? YUMMM!
**Pam is putting you on our sidebar and I will tweet about your contest, too!**
Yay! Congrats! Hmm, I think the authors that inspire me the most are Ellen Hopkins and Courtney Summers. I like how they show the gritty side of the teen experience without being gratuitous.

Woo hoo! And you'll probably find that now you've hit that magic number, it seemed to climb more quickly from here.
January 31, 2011 at 12:51 PMMost inspired by? You do ask some tough questions. I would have to say Arthur Golden because he reminds me that you can write characters so vastly different from yourself (unless of course Arthur Golden is actually a Japanese female peasent-turned-geisha).
Wow this is a pretty amazing contest!
January 31, 2011 at 5:46 PMJOhn Green is my biggest source of inspiration. Not only is he one of the best YA writers out there but he and his brother Hank have done a lot of good thanks to their vlog and nerdfighters. He created a community of people who want to make the world a much better place. There's hope and optimism in all of his books and it's hard not to read him or watch him and not smile or learn something.
I tweeted about this contest and I will put it in my sidebar.

You can contact me there too.
Easily, as a fantasy writer, JK Rowling inspires me the most. I've taken courses to analyze the depth and detail of her plot layering.
January 31, 2011 at 8:54 PMI retweeted you about this extravaganza!

You have a new follower here thanks to Marquita's mention of you in her post. I can't believe I'd never seen this blog before!
February 1, 2011 at 6:06 AMHonestly, all authors inspire me...every time I hear of another one getting an agent or a book deal, it fills me with hope that I'll be there one day. But to pick one, I'd have to say Stephenie Meyer, because reading Twilight is what rejuvenated my desire to become published.
Awesome giveaway, too, by the way.
I tweeted, and I added your giveaway to my sidebar here: http://jmanni32.blogspot.com/
Thanks so much for this (and sorry for the uber-long post)!

I'll put your contest on my sidebar.
What a cool contest!
February 1, 2011 at 6:20 PMThe author that inspires me the most is Lois McMaster Bujold. She writes the books that I want to write - fantasy and scifi with awesome characters, fantastic worlds and riveting stories. Not to mention a prose that flows like honey.

David in the Bible, the Psalms are wonderfully written and great poetry!
I am inspired by many writers. Agatha Christie, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Jane Austen, PG Wodehouse, Thomas Hardy, Ted Dekker. The list is endless. They all inspire me because of their ability to portray characters accurately, and make the emotion come alive.

WOW!!! this is such a great giveaway!!
February 18, 2011 at 12:59 AMI'm extraordinarily inspired by Conan Doyle. Sherlock Holmes is truly my favorite of all time. His writing style is explicit, well-structured, yet it's quite enigmatic at times.
I'm a fan of adventurous and mysterical stories. Furthermore, his characters are all structured as unintentionally on purpose. Each roles have a significant role to build the stories. On my point of view, I really like Conan :D

February 18, 2011 at 8:47 PMI don't know that I can pick one author as the most inspiring, but I will say I am inspired by Thomas Hardy's ability to describe poverty and destitution with such beautiful language without sentimentalizing or glamorizing them.
